Soil building & Propagating Native Plants
The last few years have brought new opportunity for me to use my plant knowledge and passion to develop and more importantly restore. Clearing exotic plants, using what is at hand to build soil and replanting with Native species grown and/or propagated on Island is ecological landscaping.
My years of managing a retail Nursery, working with landscape professionals and sourcing a wide range of plant material has given me good opportunity to learn what does well in our changing climate.
If you have spent some time on Gambier, you will have noticed how I have been working with the landscape by building up soil with locally sourced organic matter and replacing invasives with plants I am propagating.
